• Radiant Church, a Calvary Chapel in Winnipeg.

Radiant Church has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Our supreme desire is to know Christ and to be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. Radiant Church is centered around God’s revelation to us, the Bible. Through the teaching of His Word we learn about His character, plan, and love for us. As we grow in our understanding of Him, we experience His Spirit leading us to step out in ministry to one another and the world.

  • Children's Ministry

Our vision is to come alongside parents, in their God given responsibility and blessing taught in Deuteronomy 6:6-9 and Proverbs 22:6 to, “Train up a child in the way he should go . . .” It is a partnership based on the Word of God. We have an excellent, engaging staff, with equipped volunteers and trained leaders to assist in your children’s growth in their knowledge and understanding of our fundamental Christian truths, love and faith (Ephesians 3:17-19). Children are taught at their level of understanding in each classroom (Nehemiah 8:1-3). Included in each lesson are innovative and interactive games, crafts and worship, which help reinforce the week’s lesson and encourage memorization. As a ministry, we desire to see every child have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We pray every child will commit their lives to Christ (Romans 10:9-10, 13). In fact, many children make first time commitments and receive Jesus Christ into their hearts, while attending Sunday school services at Radiant Church. Throughout a child’s Sunday School experience, their development and growth continues, as they are discipled and equipped to become witnesses to their families and friends (2 Peter 3:18). Our ultimate prayer is for each child to grow in the Lord and impact our world for Jesus Christ, as we are all called to fulfill the great commission found in Matthew 28:18-20.
  • Beliefs

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. We believe the Bible is the final authority in every area it addresses for every individual Christian, as well as for the church collectively. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:21, John 10:35) We believe there is one God who eternally exists as three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that all things were created by Him and for Him. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 45:21-22, Matthew 28:19, Colossians 1:16) We believe that God the Son became a human being in the person of Jesus Christ. That He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life (for He was without sin), died a substitutionary death for all mankind, was raised from the dead the third day, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God until His enemies are made His footstool. (John 1:1, 14, Matthew 1:18-25, 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Peter 3:18, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Hebrews 10:12-13) We believe the Holy Spirit was sent by the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. We believe the Holy Spirit regenerates and indwells and seals every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that He empowers us to live as witnesses for Christ. We believe that all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are available to His church today. (John 14:16-17, John 16:7-11, Titus 3:5-6, Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Ephesians 1:13-14, Acts 1:8, Romans 12:6-8, 1 Corinthians 12-14, 1 Peter 4:10-11) We believe that God created human beings, male and female, in His own image. He created them sinless, equal in value, dignity, and worth. According to His purpose and design, men and women are created to fulfill distinct but complementary roles in the contexts of marriage, family, and the local church. (Genesis 1:26-28, Ephesians 5:22-6:4, 1 Timothy 3:1-7) We believe that, as a result of the Fall, all people are sinners by nature and in need of a Savior, and that Jesus Christ is the one and only Savior of the world. That salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Him. We believe that all who call on the name of the Lord shall be saved eternally. (Romans 3:10, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:18-19, Matthew 1:21, 1 John 4:14, John 14:6, Acts 4:12, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9) We believe there is one church, the body of Christ, consisting of men and women from every tribe, tongue, people, and nation. We believe that each local congregation is an expression of that universal church. (Ephesians 4:4, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Revelation 5:9, Acts 2:42-47) We believe the church will be delivered from the “hour of trial” which will come upon all who dwell on the earth, being “caught up” in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air (the Rapture). (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, 1 Corinthians 15:51-55, Revelation 3:10) We believe the saints will return with Christ to the earth, at His Second Coming, to rule and reign with Him. (Jude 1:14, Revelation 19:11-16, Revelation 20:4) We believe in the pre-millennial return of Christ, to sit upon the throne of David and rule over the house of Jacob (Israel), and the entire cosmos, forever. (Revelation 20:1-6, Luke 1:31-33, Isaiah 9:6-7) We believe in the resurrection of the dead. Some will be raised to life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt (hell). We believe that God will create a new heaven and earth in which righteousness will dwell. We believe that the throne of God and the Lamb (Jesus Christ) will be established in the New Jerusalem forever. (Daniel 12:2, John 5:25-29, Revelation 21:1-22:5)
  • Vision

Authentic in life: real people, real problems, real love, real support, and real solutions through the word of God. We’re a church full of people that love our neighbours as ourselves through serving, giving, encouraging, rejoicing with those who rejoice and mourning with those who mourn. We love to worship and will promote corporate worship experiences while cultivating personal worship day to day. We provide real, tangible, and undeniable experience with God for everyone we minister to through teaching from the Word chapter to chapter and verse to verse, meaningful worship, and relationships. We want to see the healing of social injustices in our community, and our city. We want to practically show God’s love to the homeless, the addicted, the marginalized, the confused, and the hurting. We’re a church that is growing; People who are engaged in sound biblical teaching and ‘life on life’ discipleship, growing in their relationship with God; disciples producing disciples; home groups producing home groups; and sending out people called to do awesome things for God. This is a place that has Jesus at the centre of every decision and every action, always longing to bring glory and honour to His name. We are not out to get famous or build a big church, we just want Jesus to be known.
  • Culture

    - Relationship first, presentation second - Whimsical - No one is perfect, therefore everyone is safe to be there regardless of their level of faith of doubt. - Communion is intimate, open, participatory, and available. - We’re not polished, not excellent, but we are proficient. - Sermon is teaching chapter-by-chapter, verse-by-verse - Children integrated with the adults but have their own awesome programs too - We get outside when the weather is good - Food, lots of food! - Simple worship without any pretense or hype - Leaders who lead through vision and hold the community to higher purposes - Orderly service, but everyone should feel welcome to share a thought or ask a question - No ‘greeters’ but everyone friendly - No offering taken up, there’s a box at the back if you want - No service teams, everyone lends a hand to get things done
  • Grow Spiritually

We want to see everyone flourish and become fully alive in Christ Making Disciples Following Jesus is a journey called discipleship, which means becoming an apprentice, learner, or pupil of his ways. Jesus entrusted his church with the responsibility to make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Triune God, and teaching them to obey his ways. Our approach to disciple can be summarized as: Together, we are learning and practicing the ways of Jesus. Together, we are learning and practicing the ways of Jesus. Together: Bible Studies You aren’t meant to follow Jesus alone, you need other followers of Christ to walk alongside you. We call this interdependence. We need each other, which is why we meet weekly throughout Winnipeg in Community Groups. We do this to learn together, grow together, and serve together.
